(by Paul Guzzone)
If I were a sailor then she’d be the mast
holding steady and straight in the wind
And if I were in danger, then she’d be
the welcoming lighthouse guiding me in
Now, I am no angel, but I do believe
the devil will never take me
I am no sailor, but I do believe
that these currents will bring her to me
‘Cause there’s nothing as peaceful
as the breeze on the water
or as soft as the sea doves’ calls
Won’t you come take my hand
and we’ll dance in the sand
to the blue Caribbean waltz
Sometimes I feel like this island,
the ocean side wide, the inlets are calm
But I know the day that I find her
I’ll never wander. I’ll do her no harm
Now, I am no angel, but I do believe
the devil will never take me
I am a poet and I do believe
that these currents will send her to me
‘Cause there’s nothing as peaceful
as the breeze on the water
or as soft as the sea doves’ calls
Won’t you come take my hand
and we’ll dance in the sand
to the blue Caribbean waltz
